veteran’s day week 2025 | Nov 9 - 15|

Come celebrate our 10 year anniversary in the “Mother City” with us!!

THE ITINERARY

(Sunday) day 1- arrive in cape town, south africa

You will arrive at Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa!

Our arranged transportation will then take you to our luxurious accommodations. Upon arrival one of the URBN TRVL host will greet you and show you to your room.

After you get settled in, we will have introductions and a brief welcome.

Evening: Welcome dinner.

(monday) day 2- cape peninsula tour

On our first full day in Cape Town we will get acclimated by exploring the vast landscapes of the peninsula. Our guide will pick us up in the morning to embark on our journey along the west coast as we start downtown to familiarize ourselves with the city. From there we will pass through the picturesque Camps Bay, Hout Bay, and Chapman’s Peak to name a few.

Next we will pass by Boulder’s Beach, home to the African Emperor Penguins before heading to Kalk’s Bay for a fresh seaside lunch.

Finally, we will finish the day on the top of Table Mountain (via a gondola), approximately 3500 feet above sea level. Golden hour at this location provides epic views and photo opportunities.

(tuesday) day 3- Robben Island tour

Welcome to Robben Island, South Africa – home to the infamous prison where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years, along with over 3,000 political prisoners during their fight to end Apartheid.

The Apartheid (literally “apart-hood” in Afrikaans) was a system of racial segregation enforced by the ruling Nation Party of South Africa from 1948-1994.

A trip to Cape Town would not be complete without this very important cultural and historical experience.

In the afternoon, we collect ourselves before heading out for High Tea, a timeless tradition for luxury indulgence.

Cap classique toast to follow.

(wednesday) DAY 4- ATV’s in the dunes

For the adrenaline junkies amongst us (ourselves included) we make it a point to ATV wherever possible. This trip shall be no different.

Pack your workout gear and let’s get ready to play in the sand. The tour should take about an hour or two before we head back to the city around lunch time.

The rest of the day is free so we suggest you use this time to explore some sights such as the V&A Waterfront or other popular neighborhoods.

We will provide a list of some of our favorites ;)

(thursday) DAY 5- cooking class

Today we truly lean into the culture by learning how to cook some Malay local dishes inside the historic colorful homes of Bo-Kaap. The neighborhood was originally created by the Dutch for enslaved Malaysians, Indonesians, and Africans.

Through the years, generations of people have remained in this area and held onto their culinary expertise which we will experience in an intimate setting in their houses.

Afterwards we will take some time for photo shoots with local photographers to ensure you get the BEST shots to post on social media!

(Friday) Day 6-  explore the vineyards

Wake up and smell the WINE!! Stellenbosch provides a picturesque base for exploring some of the country’s best vineyards.

From small-production boutique wineries to some of the grandest and most successful estates in the southern hemisphere. Are you ready to get WINE WASTED?

Most importantly, we must visit the Seven Sisters winery, one of two black owned wineries in the region, to learn a little bit about their history and why they are so significant in this industry.

Lunch will be included in addition to chocolate and food pairings at several of the wineries we will visit.

(saturday) Day 7- departures

Unfortunately, we have come to the conclusion of our trip and its now time to return to our humble abodes.

We hope that Cape Town & Mama Africa have stolen your hearts and that we’ve exceeded your expectations.
